In this tutorial you will learn on how to paint tree trunk with textures using gesso and palette knife in step by step easy and basic acrylic painting tutorial for beginners. In the process, you will need to add the gesso while it has no paint yet but you can also add it even if there is some background paints. Unlike the acrylic gels, you cannot mix gesso to paints if you want to create darker tones because it will lighten the color, it is possible only if you are mixing lighter colors.
