Try Chroma Atelier Acrylics. works just like oils longer open time can reopen to paint more, larger tubes than others. blends like butter. when completely dry you can reopen to paint again. there are video’s on youtube telling about these amazing acrylics. you will never go back.

John your wonderful! Thanks so much for this lesson…very talented. …the grasses look realistic. ..this is very helpful. ..learning so much from you. These grasses and the step techniques can be used in so many different landscape ideas. I see an old red barn with a stone wall and tall grasses…
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
you’re always welcome Joy… Thanks again…

Thanks for another great video. You said after using gesso three times to prime the canvas you sand it. What kind of sandpaper do you use? Soft or very rough? And do you just sand one way or can your go right to left? It would actually be really good if you could demonstrate how you do this in one of your videos, hint hint :o)
Lyw says:
Thanks!
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
you’re welcome Louise. I used P180 sand paper or a little rougher than that. I actually sand it on any direction. Just to remove some rough surface of the canvas. Yes, I will try to demonstrate on how to do that on my future videos.
Lisa Binney says:
this is the first painting video that was slow enough to really understand the strokes. Also on the flat brush the word you were looking for is chiseled edge, the the tip of the flat brushes.
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
thank you very much Liza Binney… I really have limited info on some terms like you’ve mention.
Joyce Simpson says:
Thank you, John. This is very helpful. I am wondering if you use a different kind of white paint. It seems to flow much better than the other colours. Is it also a tube paint?
Joyce Simpson says:
Thanks.
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
you’re welcome.. the white paint was part of my experiment.. I added water on the tube to make it fluid but don’t follow it. It is better to have a sticky white paint then just add the water on the palette. It is easier to adjust that way.
Anuja Choksi says:
