Exaxtly what kind of paint are you using here sir? I use acrylics from hobby lobby (master touch, liquitex) and mine are thick like toothpaste and do NOT flow easy like yours at all! I do good with what i have but there is just something i am missing to be able to do what you all do. Do you add water or something else to paint or are you using some kind of difficult to obtain expensive magical paints? If i dont paint quick mine just smudges and gets sticky and unworkable! I get terribly discouraged and frustrated. Im kinda stuck at the moment and need help

@Art of John Magne Lisondra hey john thanks for your reply sir. You demo painters here on YT have been a huge help to me as a beginner. Thanks for doing these videos
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
hello Scoot.. i am using the same acrylic… just add a little water on it, just enough and not too much. and make sure you sand your canvas to make it smooth and 3 coats of prime for better smoother canvas.. it’s okay, I also get frustrated before but you can do it… 🙂

So nice
Chris Whitehouse says:
I’m finding it almost impossible for me to get those thin crisp lines with a #0 round brush or a script liner brush. Mine are fat and broken up, not thin and crisp. I’m using plenty of water and it even has “flow aid” in it. Can’t seem to get the hang of it…
Chris Whitehouse says:
@Art of John Magne Lisondra Yes, actually I kept doing it and took a break and came back and it started working! Can’t really explain it, at some point, I was able to do it! Yeah! I’m too impatient but I just needed to practice more. Thanks for all your help!
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
hello Chris… it’s actually hard at first just keep practicing making it follow you. you can make it pointed by forcefully shaping it using your fingers

How do you prevent acrylics from drying too fast on palette?
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
I use small amounts of acrylic and then refill if it’s empty… just don’t use to much paints on your palette so that you will consume it before it dries.
