Hello John, this is one of the greatest tips I ever got via YT – thanks to you, I finally know what to do with all of those wooden boards I’ve been saving for years (they once were an almost antique closet, which I cut up to use as panels for painting). I tried painting on one, but the grain of the wood always showed through, no matter how much paint I put on. Now this is the solution: cover with canvas, yeah! Thank you soooo much and keep up that great work! Greetings from Germany, Anna

Thanks so much for showing this!! You are just great. Can you tell me where you get the canvas fabric? Also where do you get your gesso? Have you ever tried to make it? Thanks
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
You’re welcome… You can buy canvas fabric in art material stores and fabric stores.. just look for canvas fabric. You can find gesso in any art store also. Since i was not rich, i made my own canvas so i can save more for paints…

Hey one question after the painting is finished can you remove it from the plywood to store it like a paper or will the painting be damaged
MotherOfBears says:
I’m following. It’s a great question.
Ileana Kreus says:
Shouldn’t you put an isolation coat on the plywood before adding the canvas to protect from the plywoods chemicals interacting down the road with the finished art? Or an isolation coat on the canvas?
