  11. I love this painting to John , the colours textures and the zebra , it doesn’t matter if he’s in an autumn scene , it just works , so we’ll done ! I’ve nearly finished mine and I’m so happy too.

  12. Zebras live on the plains of Africa, not in a temperate leafy countryside. Might be more believable if you added a zoo keeper or two. Very disappointed with this one.

  16. Facinating work. I learned a lot watching just how you created this scene, but I am confused. Zebras live in Africa and I have never seen this kind of trees on any savannah. Now there is a farm/preserve here in Texas that has Zebra and some cedar and oak trees grow here along with scrub trees. So, why did you not paint a lovely wild horse standing in your forest. I like this painting but remain confused with its positing in a forrest. Thank you for answering my questions, in advance.

    • Thank you for this insight… Yes the setting might be confusing because its all from imagination, aside from the reference with zebra… Well everything can be possible in art.
