In the painting tutorial, it started with sketching and then color blocking. Although I used computer voice on this one because it was one of my first videos on Youtube and I was shy with my voice. It’s still a very nice tutorial because you can learn here on how to paint clouds, mountains, specially far blueish mountain and near greenish mountain. You can also learn on how to paint distant forest, near trees and a very good water reflections on the lake. You can learn also on how to paint near big tree, little grasses and bushes, wild flowers and sunlit pathway. Have fun watching everyone and keep learning!
Thank you for watching!

Nice job and very usefull for me.
In what way are you keeping the acrylic paint so beautiful smooth (and wet) to work with? Have you added retarder or so? Mine will dry out within the hour.
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
thank you… I only add water to make it fluid… I don’t have retarder.. my paint dries in minutes.. smooth canvas and enough water to make the flow smooth
Peter Gregory says:
I don’t get where your brilliant greens & yellows come from? I seemto end up with a mess! What am i doing wrong?
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
just practice mixing Peter… and use limited colors so that you will know the mixings well

This was incredible! Absolutely stunning! I painted this following your tutorial and it turned out gorgeous. Not as much as yours though, I still have trouble mixing and blending colours like you do, you’re so skilled! Thank you for this tutorial, it really helped me a lot and taught me SO much! Keep the great job up!

Cameron Williams says:
absolutely mesmerized with how pretty this painting is. you are such a talented artist especially for someone who was self taught. i hope to one day be able to paint like this. thank you so much for your tutorials they have been so helpful!
one question though: when you start painting, is the gesso still wet underneath? or do you dry it before you begin?
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
hello Cameron.. thank you very much! I let the gesso dry before painting. And I sand it to have a smooth surface and I can easily paint on it.
