I just add a little amount of water to make it fluid… just experiment on mixing the right amount of water.. Don’t make it too much.

Hi John! I try to do this acrylic painting with synthetic paintbrush and the strokes are very strong and defined.
I wanted the painting to look more blurred. Does that have to do with the technique or the quality of the brush? maybe both. I would like to know what material you recommend. thank you very much!!!

I think it’s a little hard to achieve that with acrylic without using a retarder since acrylic dries fast.. You can use acrylic retarder to let it dry slowly and you can blend and make the edges smooth.
