  2. I’m just beginner and I can’t get how you mix the colors. Mine seem to be to dark can you help me I’m not fast. And is the 1 inch a bristle brush?Help please i love the painting.

    • it’s always hard at first Kathy, that is why i am using 5 limited colors only to teach you how to mix… just take it easy and do more mixing of colors.. it will get easier from time to time.. šŸ™‚ it’s a nylon brush and also i have bristle.

  3. wonderful

  4. Hi I want to do this painting but I don’t have the hanza yellow taloudine red cant you tell is there other color that I can use instead of the red and yellow?

    • just find some yellow and red close to primary yellows… i prefer primary yellow and red.

  5. I don“t only like but I love it. You do a wonderful demonstration and really easy to follow. I just finished this landscape with swan and I“m very pleased

  6. You’re a mĆ”ster! ! Beautiful paintings. Thanks for teaching

  7. Amazing art thanks john

  8. John, I keep watching this video, as I am going to attempt it, I have drew in the swan first, so this is my first mistake, no matter, I can paint over it and hope that I can draw it again. Fantastic painting, I love it.

    • hello Douglas, don’t be afraid to commit mistakes, anyway you can paint it over or retouch to make it right. thank you šŸ™‚

  9. Brilliant painting, very alive looking and a great tutorial. I am not sure about this, but do you use the black and white to desaturate the paint and also to stop it from being transparent? I have noticed that you use it every time with your primary colors. The swan looks magnificent.

    • I have done the swan in he lake, but it isn’t as good as yours, I did go muddy at points, but the swan was ok in color, maybe a little more practice drawing would do me good.

    • yes I actually used that… but for now using the raw umber as replacement of black.. we should be careful of using black because it will make the other colors muddy.

  10. I love it! Thank you. Blessings

  11. Totally awesome. I love your work. I had to laugh several times when I thought you were finished but you still found more to do. You are definitely a perfectionist. Where are you located?
