anne de guernon says:
I love what you do, John, I’ve been watching your videos for a long time now, and it has helped me a great deal. However, I was wondering whether you could sometimes use more vivid paints as the paintings often have the same hues, and sometimes give a somewhat plain appearance. Hope you’re not offended. Take care, Anne
anne de guernon says:
I understand. But there are colors that are available everywhere such as ochre or phtalo blue or magenta or brown sienna which really make a difference in terms of brightness of colors. Thanks for your response. It’s so wonderful to be able to exchange across the world. Greetings from France!
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
thank you Anne.. I am not sure if I can use other colors except from primaries… since the number one problem is not all colors I have may available in some other place and I still consider and recommended the 5 limited colors if you are still practicing painting because learning how to mix and get the other colors is really needed and is a must if you want to learn painting. And primaries are most available in any place. Thank you for your suggestion Anne. I might consider that soon to change and have a new look on my works here on Youtube.
