Love your tutorials. I tried doing this and I noticed that I can’t “drag” the paint on the canvas smoothly like you do. It shows gaps (canvas showing through). What am I doing wrong? Pre-stretched, pre-gesso canvas needs more gesso? Not a lot of water on my brush? Too little paint on my brush? Need glazing medium? I tried everything, yet it still leaves gaps.
Art of John Magne Lisondra says:
First I think you need to sand your canvas for a smooth surface… and I’ve been there before so I feel you…. Then just add a little amount of water or dip the tip of your brush just enough to make it a little fluid. You can experiment by doing that… 🙂

Yes but it was experimental… Just dip your brush with paint into the water and mix it on palette to make fluid paints..
