Hi John, I am a new subscriber to your videos, your way of explaining the details and techniques of mixing colors are so mesmerizing… Thankyou so much…
As a consumer to you content can I suggest something, if u could increase the video speed of the portion where you are repeating the same process in other petals then that would help reducing the length of the video, viewers would either fast forward or skip watching the video when the lengh is so long…
May ur channel keep growing… God bless u 😇

thank you very much Sweta.. that would be a good suggestions… God bless you too

Love watching and listening to you teach painting. You do a great job explaining what you’re doing and why you’re doing it. That really helps me understand. And I love that you use a limited pallet to obtain so many colors. Thank you and keep up the good work!!! 🎨

Hello again John! I just want to comment on your use of palette. Just like the Old Masters. When I received insturction from a friend that had I guess what you might call a ‘teaching Atelier’?….but via online, he told me to learn properly I must paint with 4 colors. I don’t know what was different from yours….I think maybe black? However, I’m guessing that you would do the 4 but for the sake of us, it’s much easier to have black on board. I have such admiration for you because you are able to create literally ANY color from this….and everyone here can feel grateful for being taught the proper way. It’s easy (and much more expensive/wasteful) to go and buy the extra colors but by doing this everyone is kind of getting an education in color theory. My compliments & a huge thankyou. 🙂

hello Carol, I really appreciate your comment. Thank you very much! I actually used black before but I replaced it with the raw umber since I only use black to create browns, that’s why it’s better to use the raw umber or the burnt umber. Yes you are right, it’s easier to use the 5 colors than 4. It’s very challenging to mix darker values using only the 4 colors and when I added the raw umber, It’s much easier. And sometimes black is not really good way to start practicing mixing because it can easily turn your colors into mud. thanks again Carol 🙂
